Three Worst Nicotine Withdrawal Symptoms So Far
This is my fourth day without smoking, and smoking cessation becomes easier every day. There are still moments, which makes me miss smoking, but they are getting easier and easier to deal with as long as I remind myself that I have stopped smoking. Some of the symptoms are however quite hard to deal with, and it seems that there is no easy way out. The symptoms will disappear eventually, but since I do not want to use nicotine replacement products, I will have to find other ways of dealing with them. Here are the three worst nicotine withdrawal symptoms, which I have experienced so far:
Restless dreams and insomnia. It has been really difficult for me to fall asleep. And even if I do, I will sleep only a short periods of time after I wake up again. If I remember correctly, the longest period of time I have stayed asleep after stopping smoking is 2 hours. And believe me, that was only a one time treat. And if you though that this is rough, think again. The roughest part of all this is that I am seeing really restless and weird dreams. All my dreams are in a way some sort of nightmares. This is really bizarre, but I am hoping that I will regain my ability to sleep over time.
Anxiety and depression. If you want to see a grown man crying for no reason, feel free to pay me a visit. I had no idea that the emotional response of quitting smoking could be so strong. Even though these feelings are really powerful, they do not usually last longer than half an hour. It does feel like eternity though. Luckily for me, exercise is a real good cure for these feelings. I would really be lost without it.
Eternal Hunger. Even though I was aware that nicotine reduces appetite, it was a surprise for me that I am feeling hungry almost all the time. I am starting to understand why persons, who are quitting smoking, are usually gaining extra weight. I decided to eliminate this possibility and purchased myself a license of a web based calorie counter software. This should prevent me for gaining extra weight, but unfortunately it does not take away my constant hunger.
Fortunately I know that these symptoms do not last forever. I will just have to wait and “suffer”. The funny part is that nicotine withdrawal symptoms are individual. Thus, I have no idea how long do I have to wait. Stay tuned and I will keep you posted on my progress.

The extra option would be to use stop smoking aids as an alternate selection to cigarettes. You’ll discover two prevalent approaches of performing it. 1, is to you use nicotine gum along with the additional way is to use nicotine patches. These solutions do work, but there is a downside. You’re still putting nicotine in your system.1 can discover tablets and sprays you may possibly use that replace the nicotine with a typical answer that fundamentally makes your human body believe it’s acquiring nicotine whenever it’s truly not. The reason these work well is due to the fact they assist you come off cigarettes with out all of the withdrawals, and at the exact same time, you are not putting nicotine inside your system. It’s literally the ideal solution.

Ethan,
first I want to thank you with your comment. I agree that Nicotine replacement products may help someone to stop using cigarettes as their source of Nicotine. However, these products do not treat the actual problem, which is Nicotine addiction. I have written an another blog entry, which describes my experiences from Nicotine replacement therapy:
